- Due to insurance restrictions, Tango
requires an
approved captain to pilot the boat; but he is NOT required to stay
onboard after the boat is parked for the day. We will provide this person and you are
responsible for paying for him ($ 40/hr) whenever you need his services. In order to
ensure that a captain is available when you need him, please fax or email us your basic
cruising itinerary at least one week prior to your departure.
- The outer limit of Tangos service area is
Cow Creek (just upstream from Lakeway). Insurance restrictions prohibit going into any other
marinas or docks other than Emerald Point. Tango cannot be driven after dark, but
there are many isolated coves where you can enjoy an evening under the Texas stars or stay
dockside any night and let your guests come and go as they please.
- Tango
will be fully fueled at the origination point
before departure. You are responsible for the fuel used during your rental. In addition to
the generator, Tango has twin 5.7 liter engines which consume a large amount of fuel
when cruising. Please consider the cost of this when planning your travel itinerary.
- While on the lake, communication is always available via a
VHF ship to shore radio. For added convenience, your cellular phone can be plugged in at
the helm via cigarette lighter adapter or charged anywhere onboard with a standard 110v
charger.
- Adult life jackets are provided for emergency use only. If
you are bringing children, we require that you bring their personal life jackets.
Reservations: This is a very seasonal business and reservations should be made as far in
advance as possible. Reservations will only be held with a 50% downpayment of your charter
fee including tax. The balance is due thirty (30) days prior to departure. We prefer
payment by check, but M/C, Visa, Discover and AMEX are also accepted. If paying by check,
the downpayment must be received no later than seven (7) days after the reservation is
made or the reservation will be canceled.
Cancellation Policy: If
you must cancel, please notify us in writing at least 45 days prior to your boarding date.
Your payment will be refunded less a $ 500 cancellation fee. Cancellations received less
than 45 days prior to departure are subject to forfeiture of total prepayment. If you must
reschedule your vacation during the same year, there is a $ 100 facilitating fee up until
45 days prior to your trip. Any rescheduling requests after that date will be treated as a
cancellation. We regret that we cannot make exception for personal emergencies as a cause
for cancellation. There are no rebates for late departures or early returns. Once vessel
departs dock, no adjustments will be made to rental rates as a result of adverse or
inclement weather or lake conditions.
Security Deposit: A $ 2000 security deposit is due prior to departure and does not apply toward
rental fee. Deposit will be refunded when refueling is completed and any damages assessed.
Inventories are checked prior to departure and again at end of charter. Any items
unaccounted for will be charged against deposit. All cooking gear is part of the
boats inventory. A cleaning fee of $ 200 will be assessed if the vessel is not
returned in reasonable condition.
Supplies: Fuel
is additional on all charters and must be paid for at the Ships Store. Linens and
towels are issued for 10 people only. Tango is equipped with all of the necessities
most people require. We recommend bringing whatever you may need in the way of consumable
kitchen supplies such as paper towels, paper plates, large garbage bags etc. We stock the
boat with special marine toilet paper, Kleenex, coffee filters and dishwasher detergent.
In order to conserve on limited water supply, you should consider using the washing
machine only if parked dockside. Please make sure the detergent you bring is PHOSPHATE
FREE. Otherwise, bring whatever personal items including bath soaps, shampoos, suntan
lotions, insect repellents, beach towels, fishing equipment, binoculars,
videos for the kids, floats, portable boombox, etc. you may need to make your stay
enjoyable. The boat has electric power just like your home; so feel free to bring anything
you would normally plug into an electrical outlet. It has been our experience that most
customers bring far too much clothing and food. Ice, beer, soft-drinks and other typical
convenience store items are for sale in the Ships Store.
Special Provisions: Renter must be a responsible adult (25 or over). Departure times are set in
advance and must be adhered to unless special arrangements have been made at least two
weeks prior to rental date. Departing vessels must be boarded with all persons and gear on
board by 5:00 PM or vessel must stay dockside until 9:00 AM the following morning. No
vessel will be allowed in or out of the marina after dark. No pets or fireworks are
allowed onboard. Smoking is allowed only on the top deck of Tango. Smoking inside the
boat or on the lower decks of the boat is strictly prohibited. Tango
is set up for
sleeping 10 people. There is a charge of $ 20 per person over 10 (15 maximum). Maximum
daytime occupancy for parties is 50. If Tango is on the lake with more than the
approved number of persons, we reserve the right to board the vessel and return it to the
marina. Remainder of rental time will be forfeited and damages, cleaning fees, etc. will
be charged against deposit.
